Labradorite is associated with tempering negativity, enhancing strength of will and inner worth.
Inuits once called labradorite a "fire stone", according to Inuit legend, a warrior saw the Northern Lights trapped in the rocks and struck them with his spear to free them. Because of the internal layers, labradorite is susceptible to breakage if struck too hard or too much pressure is applied to the stone.
