Rhodonite is associated with compassion, grounding energy, emotional balance and activates the heart. 
 
Rhodonite is found in North Carolina, Colorado, Massachusetts, and New Jersey; as well as Russia, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Sweden, Peru, and England.  It has a distinct pink hue, often associated with black manganese oxides which can occur as dendrites, fracture-fillings, or matrix within the stone.  Rhodonite was also made the state gem of Massachusetts in 1979.
